First DataBank Names Bob Katter Vice President, Sales and Marketing
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA– February 19, 2010

First DataBank a leading provider of drug databases that help drive patient safety, today announced that veteran healthcare industry executive, Bob Katter, has joined the company as Vice President, Sales and Marketing. Katter joins First DataBank from McKesson Corporation’s RelayHealth division, where he most recently served as Vice President, Strategy and Business Development. Katter is based in the company’s headquarters in South San Francisco.

Katter has more than 15 years of experience at leading companies in the healthcare technology and services industry where he has been instrumental in developing and bringing to market emerging technologies focusing on health information exchange. Prior to his tenure at RelayHealth, Katter served as Vice President of Business Development at MedicaLogic/Medscape, a provider of digital health records and online health information. Earlier in his career, Katter served on the executive team at Vivra Specialty Partners, a practice management company, in operations and business development roles. Katter earned an MBA degree from Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut and a BA degree in Chemistry from St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minnesota.
